Fucoxanthin Plus by Vitabase includes the special weight loss ingredient Fucoxanthin.  Fucoxanthin is a type of carotenoid found in Wakame, a type of brown seaweed.  Japanese food stores commonly carry this seaweed.

Fucoxanthin has shown great promise as a weight loss aid in animal studies.  For example, overweight mice lost as much as 10% of their bodyweight when given Fucoxanthin.  More and more studies are being done in order to determine its effectiveness.  It seems to function by boosting the rate at which abdominal fat is burned.

Fucoxanthin Plus by Vitabase also contains South African Hoodia, which helps to decrease appetite.  It also contains green tea which helps to boost energy and metabolism.  When combined, these ingredients offer a potent tool for helping you to lose weight.
